As one of the newest members of the club, I would like to say thanks for all the help and support that I have been given.Finding the Harrow Marquetry Group for me has been perfect! It’s just down the road from me in Hatch End (I live in Carpenders Park), and the Friday night workshop is also a convenient time. I have been building stringed instruments for some time now and needed to brush up my skills, so I was looking for a local club or group in or around Harrow that did something similar.Just have a look at this piece of work that Les Dime was working on when I first met him at Harrow Marquetry Group. It's a portrait of a girl, beautifully formed from wood pieces and is a great example of the art of marquetry. What an absolute masterpiece and inspiration!
